Our own workshop
Will you join us in building our new, dedicated social workshop in Ghana? By doing so, we’re empowering individuals with disabilities and women who are distanced from the job market. With support from Wilde Ganzen, our own workshop takes us a big step closer to financial and operational independence. Your donation makes this possible!
A Social Workshop in Ghana
In Ghana, superstitions and fears of evil spirits still exist. Many people believe that these spirits are the cause of physical and intellectual disabilities. As a result, individuals with disabilities are often left to fend for themselves, neglected, or even abused.
Building a better future together
To offer these individuals a better life and future, we are building our own social workshop. Here, not only those with disabilities, but also women who struggle to enter the job market can work towards a better future. The workshop provides space for making and selling various products, such as recycled school bags, Slow Cooking Bags, and washable menstrual pads. Young entrepreneurs also can start their own businesses here.
An independent home base
We’ve been renting a workshop in Ghana for years. From this location, we’ve recycled millions of water sachets, produced thousands of sets of washable menstrual pads, and trained hundreds of students. But now it’s time for the next step. By building our own workshop, we save on rising rent costs and become more independent as a foundation. We already own the land, the foundation is laid, and we’ve tapped into a water source. We’re making our dream a reality! That’s fantastic, but to have a fully functional workshop with four shops, we need additional financial support.
Will you help us?
With our ambitious project, we are offering opportunities to 35 individuals with intellectual disabilities, 10 youths, and 12 permanent staff members. Do you want to give them that chance too? Donate today!
Collaboration between Adwuma Ye and Wilde Ganzen
For this project, we’ve joined forces with Wilde Ganzen, a foundation focused on eliminating poverty worldwide. With financial support, expertise, and an extensive network, they strengthen local initiatives like ours. With the support of Wilde Ganzen, we’re confident that our dream will come true: our own workshop in Tamale!
